Nutritional Counseling

As a nutritionist, I find myself attracting clients seeking dietary information for three main reasons.

SPIRITUAL ENHANCEMENT
Wanting to nourish our bodies often becomes a natural impulse as we grow spiritually. It becomes obvious somewhere along our path that good nutrition, along with restorative sleep and enough exercise, complement spiritual inner growth. If deep spiritual growth is an embodiment process which allows our Divine Soul to create, play, and serve in the world, it is wise to culture a nervous system and energetic body that can hold this growing awareness. Providing nourishment to the body allows us to live this more fully.

LOW ENERGY AND MOOD
A large percentage of energy and mood issues are made worse by the modern Western diet. Convenience and pleasure guide food choices today because education about our bodies real needs is absent. We still have hunter-gatherer genes, and our bodies respond quickly to a diet that respects its needs and preferences.

ADDICTIONS
When the addict learns to manage the underlying physiological abnormalities that keeps his/her addiction in place, the chance of relapse goes down. Traditional addiction therapy is more successful when the physical body is brought more into balance and physical cravings are reduced.
